Holes Made Holy

A dear friend of mine died from ovarian cancer a few years ago. I remember her telling me how she had felt tremendous guilt about not completing numerous tasks in her life. Yet, at the end of her time on earth, she had obtained a bit of wisdom. All the seemingly unfinished business and plans she had worked on in… Read More

Hustling for Him

About four years ago, I began working on a book about my personal journey and our family’s adoption stories. I intended to write, edit, and publish the book in one short year. Understanding my season of life and my tendency toward perfectionism, my spiritual guide cautioned me that my tiny timeline was overly ambitious. Pridefully, I pushed forward, confident I… Read More

The Answer is… He Always Answers

Last month, my husband and I had to make the heart-retching decision to take my daughter to a residential treatment facility for substance abuse disorder. She has been battling with the disease for some time. After discerning which treatment program would best suite her needs and providing necessary information, we had been awaiting a call confirming her admittance to our… Read More

Here, in this Place?

Our day to day had been a whirlwind, with chaos swirling in the air, we had been trying to troubleshoot and problem-solve as we carried out our everyday duties and responsibilities. “Breath,” I had been reminding myself. There just didn’t seem to be enough time or air. Feeding myself with Mass, Adoration, and Confession I had attempted to nourish my… Read More

My Golden Calf Revealed

A few years ago, at Mass, the priest threw out questions for us to chew on. “What’s your god? What pulls you from focusing on the Lord and all that He asks of you? What do you think about in the middle of Mass or when you are stressed?” he proposed. Immediately, my mind went to running. It consumed my… Read More

Six Days and the Sabbath

“Remember to keep holy the sabbath day. Six days you may labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD, your God… In six days the LORD made the heavens and earth, the sea and all that is in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed… Read More

Mission

Photograph by Laura Rousseau

My name is Sarah. I am convinced that through our everyday adventures God shows us His love. These experiences are our stories to share, stories that serve to draw each other nearer to Our Lord. We must learn to listen and observe God all around us. He whispers so we have to be still and listen, even if you are a wildflower…like me!! Wherever we are, whatever our journey, I believe God speaks to us. He meets us where we are, beckons each of our names, and calls us to Himself. By sharing my personal stories, I aspire to embolden you to authentically share your struggles and triumphs. I am praying for you, sister. Together, we will inspire others to courageously discern and follow the will of the Lord. Together, we will actively respond to our calls from God and rejoice in the ride together! Welcome to my journey!
