Finding Peace in a Chaotic World

I remember a time a few years ago when I had just managed to scoot my big kids off to school and the baby was still sleeping. I had five minutes until I needed to wake my little one to drive to an appointment. My first inclination was to do something, wash dishes, throw in a load of laundry, accomplish… Read More

Drowning Is Glorious!

“My  grace is sufficient enough for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.  I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me. Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong. I… Read More

Berbere, Vomit, & Love

“There is nothing on this Earth more to be prized than true friendship.” instructed Saint Thomas Aquinas. This unique gift comes about in exceedingly unusual and surprising ways much of time. We connect with an individual through an activity or event and find ourselves intrigued or simply filled with laughter. Then realize we have a common interest. We begin to… Read More

The Sweet Sound of Bonding

My husband watches television with my kids, not only movies, but sports, history, cooking shows, you name it, they watch it. For years this has pushed a button in me. My mind would scream, ‘You aren’t doing this bonding thing right.’ I would get irritated and think, ‘Why don’t you take the kids to the zoo, or a museum, or… Read More

His Soul Cried Out

My dear friend, we will call her Aggie, recently shared a painful account of an encounter with her husband with me. It brought her to saddened tears. Aggie explained how she felt he was hurt and lost. She understood that her hubby was lonely and misunderstood. My friend could see that he needed to be heard and comforted by someone… Read More

I Could Breathe Again

I want to embrace the simplicity of the season. This season we are about to begin where we celebrate new life in Jesus through His miraculous birth. I desire to be able to focus on the true gifts of the season, time with family and friends. This season affords us time together to celebrate the beauty of the season, the… Read More

Mission

Photograph by Laura Rousseau

My name is Sarah. I am convinced that through our everyday adventures God shows us His love. These experiences are our stories to share, stories that serve to draw each other nearer to Our Lord. We must learn to listen and observe God all around us. He whispers so we have to be still and listen, even if you are a wildflower…like me!! Wherever we are, whatever our journey, I believe God speaks to us. He meets us where we are, beckons each of our names, and calls us to Himself. By sharing my personal stories, I aspire to embolden you to authentically share your struggles and triumphs. I am praying for you, sister. Together, we will inspire others to courageously discern and follow the will of the Lord. Together, we will actively respond to our calls from God and rejoice in the ride together! Welcome to my journey!
