Unapologetically an Apostle of Christ

Years ago, when I was in college, I worked at a local non-profit agency. In the beginning, I was working with mentally retarded and developmentally disabled adults in their group homes on daily tasks of life. Then, as I became familiar with the population and my superiors, my position morphed into as a role as a job coach, where I… Read More

A Lost Tribe

Any parent can relate to Moses overwhelmed cry for assistance. Often, the task of raising up our children, especially teens in today’s world, can seem too much to bear. Numbers 11:14-17 reminds us of the great struggle Moses felt when leading his people. “I cannot carry all this people by myself, for they are too heavy for me. If this… Read More

Audaciously Ask

Many years ago, when I was on the hunt for a husband and in a place in my life where I began to see the variety of ways others engaged with God, I decided to give prayer a go. It began as a plea for, what I believed to be, my perfect soul mate. My prayers were laden with requests… Read More

Serving in this Season

Recently, I met a wonderfully peaceful woman who is awaiting her Missionary Visa to serve the people of India. We had a lovely conversation about her desire to travel and serve the poorest of the poor alongside a group of Religious Sisters in a small town, in the heart of India. Assuring her of my prayers for her travel and… Read More

True to Trust or Phased by Fear

Fear paralyses. It also causes us to scramble for a solution to protect and defend ourselves and our loved ones, no matter how ridiculous our actions seem. The soundness of our decision making deteriorates. We hide, prioritize incorrectly, believe false truths, and treat others as objects without giving them proper dignity. Fear distorts our focus and jerks our eyes off… Read More

My Sacred Space

In the depths of my soul there is a quiet, peaceful, restful space that I retreat to be with the Lord. In this place the Lord and I are one. As I lay on His chest, it rises and falls and He speaks ever so softly in my ear. My soul is in unison with Him. I desire only what… Read More

Mission

Photograph by Laura Rousseau

My name is Sarah. I am convinced that through our everyday adventures God shows us His love. These experiences are our stories to share, stories that serve to draw each other nearer to Our Lord. We must learn to listen and observe God all around us. He whispers so we have to be still and listen, even if you are a wildflower…like me!! Wherever we are, whatever our journey, I believe God speaks to us. He meets us where we are, beckons each of our names, and calls us to Himself. By sharing my personal stories, I aspire to embolden you to authentically share your struggles and triumphs. I am praying for you, sister. Together, we will inspire others to courageously discern and follow the will of the Lord. Together, we will actively respond to our calls from God and rejoice in the ride together! Welcome to my journey!
