True to Trust or Phased by Fear

Fear paralyses. It also causes us to scramble for a solution to protect and defend ourselves and our loved ones, no matter how ridiculous our actions seem. The soundness of our decision making deteriorates. We hide, prioritize incorrectly, believe false truths, and treat others as objects without giving them proper dignity. Fear distorts our focus and jerks our eyes off… Read More

My Sacred Space

In the depths of my soul there is a quiet, peaceful, restful space that I retreat to be with the Lord. In this place the Lord and I are one. As I lay on His chest, it rises and falls and He speaks ever so softly in my ear. My soul is in unison with Him. I desire only what… Read More

Invitation through Injury

Each person, including yours truly, has a character or two in our lives who causes us grief. These people grind at our nerves. Despite our best efforts to love them where they are and for who they are, something about them grates at us. We often find ourselves not acting virtuously when life concerns them. Our emotions are hijacked. We… Read More

Mercy Made Measurable

The concept, In Persona Christi, meaning in the person of Christ, is taught to Catholics in the early days of youth. When administering the sacraments, the priest is acting in the person of Christ, a grace given to him as a minister of Christ through the hand of the bishop when he is ordained a priest (see CCC 1548-1551). As… Read More

Supermom Weathers Wild Child

A dear friend of mine has been struggling with one of her kiddos. We will call her Clair. Much to her dismay, her son seems to have desire to follow the most dismal of characters and pathetic leaders, who make the worst choices. He falls into negative cycles and patterns and has minimal desire or willpower to pull himself out…. Read More

A Time to Sing

I adore singing! Belting it out when the music begins during mass and when the mood strikes me in the car, I feel a release inside of me as the words leap from my mouth. The melody soothes my soul. Sadly, my kids prefer I not sing. My impaired hearing causes my tone to be off, leaving something to be… Read More

Mission

Photograph by Laura Rousseau

My name is Sarah. I am convinced that through our everyday adventures God shows us His love. These experiences are our stories to share, stories that serve to draw each other nearer to Our Lord. We must learn to listen and observe God all around us. He whispers so we have to be still and listen, even if you are a wildflower…like me!! Wherever we are, whatever our journey, I believe God speaks to us. He meets us where we are, beckons each of our names, and calls us to Himself. By sharing my personal stories, I aspire to embolden you to authentically share your struggles and triumphs. I am praying for you, sister. Together, we will inspire others to courageously discern and follow the will of the Lord. Together, we will actively respond to our calls from God and rejoice in the ride together! Welcome to my journey!
